The program is well thought out and quite easy to use. The customer service that TalentReef has on staff are also quite helpful and usually resolve any questions or assistance within a day.

The layout and navigation thru the program are very easy to use and learn
I like that I can easily find the applicants I am looking for and track them easily.
The overall appearance of the screens are very easy to read, use and navigate.

I rarely give 10/10, mainly because I have learned that that we can always learn new things and to grow. Thus, I feel that same applies to Talent Reef. While I struggled a bit in the beginning to use this application, It is probably that struggle that has made me a better user for being so persistent at using it. Now that I have more than just the basics I think for any size company the functionality of the program will work for them.

Before we utilized talentReef we used paper applications which led to sporadic results. When we opened our second location we knew we needed a better way to receive, review, and hire staff.

talentReef is good for small and large businesses. I have experienced that unless you have a HR director or Coordinator that it is more of a challenge to get the full benefits out of the software. It does require time to set up and maintain, but overall the time savings from paper applications and onboarding is substantial.

We are currently using the ATS and Onboarding features for applicants and new hires for all of our markets. We have market recruiters and training managers who use the system on a daily basis. We also have a few satellite locations where the manager uses talentReef for the same purpose. Having the Onboarding feature has eliminated our managers' need to sit with new hires to give them forms to complete. From the Onboarding information, each day we export new hire data from talentReef and import it into our HRIS/Payroll system. Being able to do so eliminates 90% of the manual entry of new hires into our HRIS/Payroll system. There are still a few fields that must be managed manually though.
Pros and Cons
We've been with talentReef nearly 2 years and our last 2 account managers have been great! Support was a concern right after we converted, but we were able to gain an account rep and began weekly calls until all the holes were plugged in.
Linking ATS data and onboarding data eliminates the need for the applicant/new hire to enter the same information twice.
We're now receiving system emails regarding upcoming new releases, which is helpful.

TalentReef is well-suited for high volume-hiring, as well as for HR departments looking to move off of paper and onto an easy-to-understand platform. I love the ease of integrated assessments and the background checks.
This will not be suitable for those looking for time & attendance and payroll systems.

talentReef is used by all of the Famous Toastery Corporate stores for employee recruiting and the paperwork side of on-boarding.
Pros and Cons
As an Administrator of the talentReef system, I have access to all applicants for every store across our system all in one location.
It is a one-stop function for virtually all of our new hire paperwork.
We have not gone entirely paperless with our employee files, but talentReef would be of great benefit to us if/when we choose to move in that direction.
The system is relatively easy to learn for store users with all levels of digital expertise.
The cost to the organization is extremely reasonable.

Famous Toastery is a fast-growing chain, and I fully expect talentReef has the qualities and flexibility to grow with us. While talentReef focuses on restaurants, I believe it's capabilities are well-suited for any type of organization.

TalentReef is primarily used by the HR Team and Restaurant General Managers. We use it for applicant tracking, onboarding and performance management. It has addressed several long term issues such as eliminating paper from the application process and paper employee files stored at the restaurant, consolidated multiple vendors under one roof during the hiring process (i.e. background check, MVR screening and WOTC) making the hiring process much more efficient for our users. It has reduced the time it takes to get a new candidate identified and hired while at the same time increasing the caliber of candidate we are hiring.
Pros and Cons
Throughout the implementation process, TalentReef was very timely (within 24 hours) with their feedback, changes and accommodations to our system set up requests.
The onboarding process and conversion to electronic employee folders with web based storage and retrieval has significantly simplified the HR Teams work load.
Their applicant flow and applicant quality has made a noticeable improvement in the quality of our team member hiring leading to reduced turnover.
Likelihood to Recommend
I believe it is well suited for industries where the following takes place:
- high volume, hourly employees
- short application time is important
- ease of use and intuitive user interface for store managers is important
It may be less appropriate for white collar hiring and hiring that requires a more in depth analysis and candidate review.

We currently use talentReef's social recruiting/application module. We use it to manage applications for our entire organization. This includes corporate and 43 restaurant locations located in 5 different states. talentReef has made the process of job posting seamless, as well as, reviewing, tracking, and storing applications. It helps us monitor the success or pain points job postings through its reporting feature.
Pros and Cons
talentReef allows users to manage multiple job boards with only one log in. It makes managing multiple job boards, applications, and users much easier by accessing all the information in one location.
talentReef is very user-friendly and easy to use. This makes training new users very easy.

talentReef was great with getting our job boards implemented with minimal headache. I think the biggest challenges we have had was going through 4 account reps in just over a year. There has been some struggle on getting our updated job board remodels done in a reasonable time frame. However, even with the turnover and the project delays, they do value their clients and will always make everything right.

We use Talent Reef as our primary ATS system to help us onboard and recruit talent to work in our c-stores. Our whole HR department uses it and we have over 60 stores and the managers and district managers use it to find talent to staff their locations. It helps us find extra applicants that we may not get elsewhere and keeps us in line with the I-9 and onboarding tasks that allow us to go paperless.

Always looking for ways to make our job as recruiters easier

Well suited for companies looking to simplify their ATS systems, providing alternative ways of getting more applicants and helping us remain compliant with I-9's and other legal documents. This takes the pressure off of our managers and puts it in HR's hands where it should be at all times.

The recruiting side of our Human Resource Department utilizes talentReef in all aspects of recruiting and on-boarding new employees. It addresses our recruiting needs by establishing a best practices format from organizing our open requisitions, processing job applications and manage the hiring process. talentReef integrated system streamlines the recruiting and application process for us.

Easy to use when submitting an open requisition to our website. Candidates can apply to an agile job board and it comes directly to our ATS. Processing steps to hire status is functional and easy to use.
[However] Customer Service is not responsive in a timely manner when you have a problem or a candidate has a problem working in the system, e.g resetting a password, helping a candidate with questions when the system will not allow them apply or complete their online hiring paperwork.

We use TalentReef at our corporate support center, corporate locations and franchise locations. Our entire organization uses TalentReef for recruiting, hiring, onboarding and managing employee files. TalentReef has helped us keep our employee files accurate, up to date and easily accessible. One of the best features of talentReef is that when an employee is hired, we ensure all required documents are completed. We also use TalentReef as the main source for employee information, so all other systems are updated from TalentReef. Our POS, payroll and online learning program all get employee information from TalentReef. All changes happen in TalentReef and then are pushed to other areas in order to keep information accurate in all systems. We have been very pleased with our relationship with TalentReef and they have proven to be a strong partner.
Pros and Cons
TalentReef's culture is very impressive. From the CEO on down, the culture is focused and listens to the needs of their clients. During my visit to TalentReef I was extremely impressed with the culture and the TalentReef team. Great product and great people!
The service from TalentReef has been top notch! All departments (sales, implementation, marketing, client services) have been fun to work with and we are looking forward to a long partnership.
The hiring and onboarding process for the manager is user friendly. This gives the manager the ability to focus on other important tasks because they spend less time on paperwork.
