Introduction
We at the Potomac Center/SETT facility provide qualityperson-centered supports to adults with intellectual disabilities at our campusin Hagerstown, Maryland. Our aim is to partner with the community to help our residentsachieve their goals.
The Potomac Center is a 62-bed licensed Intermediate CareFacility (ICF). This program focuses on using therapeutic interventions toempower residents as they learn the skills they need to successfully return tocommunity living.
The Secure Evaluation and Therapeutic Treatment (SETT)Program, located within the Potomac Center campus, is a 32-bed licensedForensic Residential Center that provides services to individuals withintellectual disabilities and court involvement within a safe and secureenvironment. The program provides assistance as they resolve their courtinvolvement and work toward transitioning to a less secured environment. TheSETT utilizes active treatment as well as providing evaluation, assessment andcompetency attainment education.

Main Purpose of Job
This part time contractual position will maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for the physical and mental health of all residents and staff.
Per the Amended Directive and Order RegardingVaccination (MDH # 2023.04.18.03)issued by the Secretary of the MarylandDepartment of Health,effective April 18, 2023, staff inallhospitals and residential facilities operated by the MarylandDepartmentofHealth or any local health department are required to show proof of COVID-19vaccination. Staff includes, but is not limited to, regular and contractualemployees, contractual staff, volunteers, and other state employees performingany duties at the facility. An individual may request an accommodation byprovidingappropriate and sufficient documentation for bona fide medicalorreligious reasons.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Employees in this classification may be subject to call-in 24 hours a day and, therefore, may be required to provide the employing agency with a telephone number where they can be reached.

BENEFITS
Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.
Leave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.
